2012 Estate Reserve Viognier: *Best in Class*, Gold

2012 Estate Stainless Steel Viognier: Silver

2012 Reserve Pinot Noir, John Sebastiano Vineyard: Bronze

2011 Estate Mourvedre: Bronze

2008 Estate Mourvedre (Reviewed in Wine Advocate #196, Aug 2011)
91 pts

The 2008 Mourvedre is an exotic wine bursting with dark red fruit, smoke, sweet herbs, tobacco and licorice. There is a wildness to the Mourvedre I find appealing, as the wine’s balance of aromatics, fruit and structure is terrific. The 2008 Mourvedre spent 24 months in French oak, 30% new. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2015.

2008 Estate Syrah (Reviewed in Wine Advocate #196, Aug 2011)
89 pts

The 2008 Syrah is the ripest and juiciest of these wines. Layers of blue and black fruit, spices, licorice and French oak come together in this plush, dark Syrah. The 2008 Syrah spent 24 months in French oak, 30% new. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020.

2004 Chateau Duplantier Cuvee (Reviewed in Wine Advocate #166, Aug 2006)
90 pts

The 2004 Chateau Duplantier Cuvee possesses a deep, dark plum/ruby color as well as abundant quantities of dark berries, spice, and pepper characteristics followed by a velvety-textured, powerful yet supple, savory wine with loads of Mediterranean sea breeze-like notes intermixed with black and red fruits. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.

2004 Pinot Noir, Sanford & Benedict Vineyard (Reviewed in Wine Advocate #166, Aug 2006)
90 pts

Rideau’s 2004 Pinot Noir Sanford & Benedict Vineyard exhibits aromas of sweet strawberries and cherries in its forceful, big, potently-scented bouquet. Medium to full-bodied flavors with excellent fruit purity, texture, and harmony suggest this 2004 should be consumed over the next 3-4 years
